Do you want your windows to become the center of attraction the next time you have guests over? It’s quite simple, really. I personally believe windows add the needed oomph and make a room look extremely pleasing.
Over the years, I have tried and tested different ways to beautify my windows, and now have a few tips that I can share with you. I don’t remember the last time when I had someone over to my place and they didn’t compliment my beautiful windows.

The paint will add to the window frame, making it look presentably larger than usual. With larger borders, it is highly likely to catch anyone’s sight within no time. So the next time you plan on repainting your walls, don’t forget to give your window a painted border.

If you’re not in favor of painting a border, just install a larger window frame. The thickness of the frame will surely make the window look bigger and more appealing. The most traditional and classical way of making your windows look beautiful is by putting on attractive or colorful curtains.

Most importantly we need soft furnishings to make our houses look well-cared for as well as comfortable. Living spaces are an identity of the people occupying them since they reflect their lifestyle, tastes, and character.
Soft furnishings include household textiles and fabrics that are used to enhance the décor such as rugs, throws, bedding, bedroom and bathroom curtains, cushions, quilts, table linens, and even bathroom towels and accessories. It also includes any piece of furniture, from chairs to huge recliners, that is padded with foam and a cloth of your choice. Furniture can be padded, stuffed and upholstered according to your taste and ethnicity, to give it a soft look.
However, the importance of soft furnishings does not end at your house feeling like a home; it is more than just that. If you have just moved into a new living space and do not have sufficient budget to invest in costly furniture, soft furniture is a solution to your problem.

Cushions Cushions and pillows are also significant aspects of soft furnishings. They can be small or large decorative pillows and can be placed on chairs, beds, and sofas. Curtains also stop the dust and dirt from entering your home and provide the perfect protection from the outside noise and bright sun.

Bed sheets, blankets, duvets, quilts and pillows, table cloths, you name it; all these kinds of soft furnishings add remarkable details to your rooms. The texture you use for the material of these things will determine how decorative you want these furnishings to be. Table covers also add beauty to the otherwise plain looking tables.

Carpets
Carpets and rugs are a luxury that is increasingly becoming an essential part of interior designing and decoration. Rugs are not just a way to keep your house warm anymore to give it a cozy feel; they are more of a symbol of elegance and style. Carpets additionally protect the flooring and give your room or lounge a soft appearance that you will find comforting.

After choosing curtains or blinds is good to know how hang it and give the right shape. Curtains add to the beauty of the room and are as important to the finished design as art and wall colour. A well appointed window treatment can totally transform a common boring window into a dramatic show stopper. This quick primer will give you the know-how to find the right treatments for windows.

To create the illusion of a taller window, mount the rod four to six inches above the window frame—or halfway between the frame and the ceiling moulding. (But within reason—don’t go more than eight inches above the frame or it might look awkward.) A track mounted on the ceiling also lengthens windows. Be sure to account for the extra fabric when measuring.
Extending the rod three to six inches beyond the frame on each side makes a window feel grander and allows extra light to stream in when the curtains are open (the fabric hangs against the wall without blocking the glass). You can also use this plan to reveal pretty moulding. In this case, you may want to leave as much as 12 inches on either side. Remember to adjust your width measurements for this look.
