I was researching on pink marbles for such a long time trying to find something nice, as in my head it was wonderful: fresh, contemporary and sophisticated, but in reality, everything I saw was a bit old-fashioned. Until one day when I accidentally found this bathroom design by Australian design company Handelsmann + Khaw, they got it just right.

I like how they integrated same marble material in the dressing room, combining it with chic pale green wallpaper. In the bathroom, small white mosaics with contrast black grout made it look quite modern and graphical, what helped marble pieces to stand out in the nice soft way.

Pink is a welcoming bathroom colour, as it makes the space look calmer and softer. Using more geometric shapes will help to shape the space in a more contemporary style.

Usually pink colour associates with princesses’ style or kids rooms, but I can assure you that this not quite right. Pink is one of the most versatile colours in the spectrum. In its lighter tints it looks delicate and serene and in mid-tones are playful and romantic. Of course, bright pink or fuchsia could be a bit too much, but pale pink can be just quite right. Pale pink is the perfect pink to use when you want to create a feeling of calm and elegance in a space.
