Came across this beautiful Daymer Bay tableware collection by Rick Stein and fell in love.
Inspired by the land and seascape of Cornish coves, this beautiful collection of illustrations were the winning entry in a competition Rick Stein launched to final year Art & Design students at Falmouth University, to create his new tabletop collection. Eight coves and bays from North Cornwall have been hand-painted in watercolour showing the depth and colour variations in the sea.

Bocci is a contemporary design and manufacturing house based in Vancouver , Canada , with a satellite company based in Berlin , Germany . Their aim is to build a healthy, flexible and stable network united under the goal of creating practical but striking consumer goods of the highest quality.
Even though their pieces focus on emotional and romantic shades of the contemporary design spectrum, they are deeply committed to rigorous and intelligent execution. They are not afraid of technical complexity and are constantly searching for technical innovation, going as far as manufacturing their own proprietary Xenon and LED lamps which have longer lamp lives and lower failure rates than any available alternative.

Lighting pendants and kitchen furniture, such as bar stools ans dining chairs are the great way to bring some colour into the kitchen. Green is a very fresh colour, it could be bright or quite subtle, but any tone of green will definitely bring a bit of freshness into the interior.

IL FANALE is an Italian Lighting Manufacturer, specialising in iron, copper and brass lighting fittings both for indoor and outdoor. The metals they use to create their lamps are subjected to a special treatment of accelerated oxidation that gives a gloss of aging, which refers to as "antique" look. This special process allows each material to acquire well-defined characteristics. The brass takes on a forest green color, copper acquires a reddish while the iron rusts the tone of its original colour. The post-processing treatments and procedures that are used to reach the final product comply with traditional methods belonging to the family and passed on until now.

Industrial chic is the trend of the trends at the moment. Personally, I am absolutely in love with those statement lighting pieces. They look artistic and unique, being at the same time rough and elegant they create a prefect balance of a contemporary design.

White is a brilliant colour as it matches perfectly with everything. Minimal spaces love minimal accessories, so white lighting pendants would look ideal in a simple modern kitchen. Matt white pendants or pendants with copper/ golden elements are the most popular at the moment. Conran shop and Skandium have always got a good selection of simple white pendants to choose from.

Dining rooms serve different purposes for different homes - family oriented, host to a weekly dinner party or the central basis for the whole households operations (our dining table works as all of the above and sometimes a mini office). The key with dining rooms or dining spaces is to synchronise with the rest of the room and to create symmetry where possible. Choose a table and chairs that fit your household and lifestyle needs but don't overcrowd the room with chairs!
