Does a chandelier with Swarovski elements always need to be pretentious? Surely not! Quasar is creative lighting company from Netherlands. We spotted them during Sleep Event 2017 in London. They provide products that are both modern and sophisticated but not overwhelming. The effect is amazing!

In 1992 Quasar presented itself for the first time at an international fair: Euroluce in Milan. The look and feel of that time is still visible in our collection. It is important to note that in the basic collection Quasar most of the models are available in several finishes of materials. (aluminium, stainless steel, brass, bronze etc) This makes the designs timeless and the choice of the materials determines the use of the item, either in a classical or modern ambiance.
Through the years the collection is expanded by models of the world famous designers like “Ravage”, Edward van Vliet and the Belgian artist Jan Pauwels. Every year are added new models, this steady growth of the collection made Quasar to one of the most creative lighting companies. This growth is followed by investments into a larger production company, in the excellent quality of the products and the inventive packaging.
Since almost 10 years Quasar is working with led. So it is not anymore the light of the future. 90% of the new models are equipped with best quality of led.
For all models they offer the possibility to make custom sizes, colours etc. As every project is differ-ent, often individually designed architects this is important. It is even possible to create new models based on the architects sketches.
At this time the export is about 75% of the total turnover.
Every piece can be custom- made, depending on which size or colour we need.

Astro Lighting is the brand we know very well and used for quite a few of our Projects.
We absolutely loved their new concrete and antique brass finishes for the wall lights.

They are also releasing new additions to their timeless recessed downlights collection. Vey minimal 30mm diameter downlights will be available in the new year.

Last week we have visited Sleep Event at Bussiness Design Center and would like to share with you some of our favourite founds.
Wetroom materials have presented new ReFrame collection from Unidrain shower solutions. We have used their system before and were happy to discover their new finishes. Now that we a huge demand for brass, copper and black sanitaryware it might become a little bit complicated to match all the accessories to same finish. And I have not seen any of the shower drains in the matcing finish before either.
The collection includes shower drains, towel hooks and rail, paper holder, brush and a shelf.
