Standard ceilings are white but the ones that stand out are covered in cement!

Astro Lighting is the brand we know very well and used for quite a few of our Projects.

We absolutely loved their new concrete and antique brass finishes for the wall lights.

They are also releasing new additions to their timeless recessed downlights collection. Vey minimal 30mm diameter downlights will be available in the new year.

It is not a secret that we love microcement and used it quite a lot in bathrooms design. Recently we started to notice pretty spaces where polished plaster or microcement were used in different colours, rather than standard grey.

Our favourite colour so far is pale pink in the bathrooms, that works especially well with brass sanitaryware.

Greens, blues and browns in subtle tones are great to add this little touch of colour and texture to the space.

Cimento is a composite material; a concrete mixture which can be applied to panels or sheets of a range of materials, from MDF to steel. It provides a strong, sustainable material enjoying all the benefits of concrete but without the drawbacks; possessing its unique appearance but without the high costs of labor involved in a wet installation. It's quick to produce and install, in both domestic and commercial environments, inside and outside.
It's available in huge range of colours, as well as multiple choices of textures and finishes. Moreover, you can find flexible curved sheet that can be used in many ways depending on project.

Different treatments available for the concrete surface make it adaptable to all environmental conditions. Houses can be cladded externally in panels, saving time and money compared to conventional materials. And there's a range of colours to suit all designs.

Commercial uses are endless. Apart from wall coverings the possibilities include: concealing insulation, as soundproofing materials or ducts in walls, part of display stands or in combination with lighting systems.

Cimento furniture for the extra 'wow' factor in the home or office? Why not! Beautifully combined with solid timbers, the pieces shout quality and longevity.

Wood and concrete are two different and controversial materials, but together they fulfil each other and create a great mix, which I would not even call a contrast. They look naturally good together, combining both a contemporary look and classical aesthetics.

Being inspired by concrete and cement, more and more tile manufacturers release new collections of porcelain tiles with a concrete effect. Those tiles are a cost effective solution for those who love concrete look, but cannot afford finishing all bathroom in micro-cement and real concrete. Concrete effect tiles feature authentic textures and different industrial shades and are perfect for both urban spaces and modern houses.

Concrete Effect Bathroom tiles

We love designing bathrooms and wetrooms as we get to be so creative with materials. There are so many options for finishes, either in ceramic or porcelain tile, polished plaster, painted finish, stone, concrete tiles and so on. However, sometimes we feel that the beauty and sleek finish of a bathroom can be diminished by the addition of a chunky shower enclosure. Wherever possible, we aim to fit 'invisible' shower screens - single panes of glass on channels or small brackets so that they are barely visible, therefore, not taking away from the beauty of the material finish.
