Today I would like to share with you some lovely products produced by Nancy Straughan.

Nancy set up her homeware company in 2013 after completing a degree in Printed Textiles a few years before. Every stage of the design and production is done by herself from the pattern sketches to the packaging and photography. Sustainable and ethical practices are very important to her and she only prints into organic fabrics and recycled papers with eco friendly inks. Each stage of production is based in the

she does not like to outsource anything and wants to support British manufacturing.

We met Pure Lana at this year's Decorex International trade show in London and absolutely LOVED EVERYTHING. The quality and design of every product was something different and special and everything stood out to us. Pure Lana create purely organic throws and cushions from llama and alpaca wool and some merino wool products (which were our favourite). We loved the heavy, chunky merino wool throws which were probably the softest thing I've ever touched. We also loved the stripe collection, which had a lovely handmade touch of the countryside to it. We'd certainly like to be working with Pure Lana in the near future to create some custom made designs so keep watching this space!

The 'naturally luxurious collection' of home ware products is totally organic and free from chemical dyes and bleaches. Using traditional craftsmanship, only 100% natural fibres such as cotton, raw silk, llama, alpaca, corriedale and merino are used to create luxurious throws, pillows and blankets. Happy Saturday Everyone :) I hope you all have a chance to sleep for a little bit longer today...

Today's post is dedicated to the soft stuff, like cushions, throws and blankets in respect to the weekend.

I have met Jorunn Hustoft at DesignJunction during London Design week, she was presenting her own company called Nnuroj. I was curious to see all those lovely knitted items she was showing.

The company was launched in the summer of 2012. Jorunn is Norwegian designer, who works from her studio near the seaside in Brighton, UK. She is using a hand-powered domestic knitting machine to manufacture all her produces. Every textural detail is created by hand to achieve the luxurious, high-quality finish. The modernisation of traditional crafts techniques is a central theme within the development of her designs. Inspired by lace making, upholstery and the ways that wool can benefit our living environment, her main concerns during the design process are to create pieces that are unique, durable and sustainable.

Marcelise is another great textile company we got lucky to meet at Maison et Objet, Paris. They produce sustainable, eco-friendly and stylish fabrics. With Marcelise, the designer Chloé Sanier has found the perfect opportunity to develop her very personal design vocabulary, contemporary, sensual, up to date but very much part of the traditional home.

The company Marcelise has been born through the desire of its creator to develop textiles for the home which resonate with the spirit of the times, provide great design using resilient fabrics, and crucially, are without danger to either our health or the environment.

For this collection, the designer has chosen to create a range of contemporary necessities for everyday living, using finely woven soft-washed linen. Derived from flax grown within Europe, the linen is produced in a way which not only supports sustainable development, but which also provides excellent working conditions for those entrusted with its high quality manufacture.

Using fine pure linen, Marcelise collections will feature contemporary graphics and intricate designs.

Irregularly repeated patterns on tablecloths, cushions, curtains and bed-covers, gives the illusion of every product being unique, whilst also providing continuity. Each design is enlivened by enticing coloured detail, both subtle and contrasting, lending the textiles an ability to suit all tastes and interiors.
